  Prior to beginning design work, it is critical to have a solid understanding of the site conditions. In the case of a new building or addition, we study such factors as topography, orientation, landscaping, neighborhood character, and traffic. For an alteration or renovation, we do a thorough study of the building's structural and mechanical systems, its layout, and spacial qualities. With the information and understanding we gain from our site visits we are then able to have a solid basis for all design decisions. |
